RENO, Nev. – Nevada Men's Tennis freshman,
Max Contet, brings home his third Mountain West Freshman of the Week title following a 3-1 week to close out the regular season.

Contet's week began at UNLV, where the Pack defeated its in-state rivals, 4-3, in the Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union. Contet paired with
Rayen Hermassi to defeat Vitaliy Horovoy and Joel Gibson, 6-3, on doubles court three. In singles, Contet and Gibson split the first two sets before Contet controlled the third set to win 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 and clinch the Silver State Series victory for the Pack.

On Saturday, Contet's wrapped up his week with a dominant 6-3, 6-2 singles victory over San Diego State's Marc Kleber on court five to tie the match vs the Aztecs in the moment.

Contet, a native of Cagnes-sur-Mer, France, finishes the regular season 7-5 in singles play with a 3-2 record in conference play. Contet's third Freshman of the Week award is the most in the conference by an individual, and Nevada's fourth Freshman of the Week award is the most amongst teams.

The Pack heads to Las Vegas for the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships at Darling Tennis Center. Nevada, the four-seed, will face No. 5 Air Force in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 23.
