Azusa, Calif. - Nevada continued competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational Thursday and began competition at the Mt. Sac Relays. Only three Wolf Pack runners raced at the Bryan Clay, whilst a pair of Pack javelin throwers competed at Mt. Sac.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, the 5k was the first event for the Pack, with
Marina Renna the sole Pack runner, coming in with a time of 17:52.87, a personal best by almost three seconds.
In the 800m the Pack had two runners,
Mary DeMartini and
Kylee Denver in the 800m invite.
Mary DeMartini ran a personal best time, 2:13.69 to place 60th. In the invite,
Kylee Denver placed 126th in a very strong field of competitors, with a time of 2:19.17.
At the Mt. Sac Relays,
Izzy Steerman competed in the Javelin, throwing 43.99m to place 7th.
Lilly Urban competed in the Javelin Elite Invitational, once again breaking her school record. Urban has had a hot start to the outdoor season, breaking the school record at every meet. Her mark of 55.45m was over a meter better than her previous school best mark, and she will look for more success as the season begins to come to a close.
The Wolf Pack will be back in action tomorrow at both the Mt. Sac Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational.
