RENO, Nev. - Nevada Track and Field athletes
Annalies Kalma and
Lilly Urban earned both Mountain West Track Athlete and Field Athlete of the Week honors, Tuesday, off the back of a successful weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California.
Annalies Kalma was awarded Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week this week, after an impressive weekend on the track last week, running a 51.90 to place sixth in the 400m Elite Invitational at the Mt. SAC Relays. Kalma was only beaten by the top four ranked 400m athletes in the NCAA along with a professional. Kalma's time of 51.90 improved upon her own school record set last season, and moves her into 27th place in the NCAA 400m rankings.
Lilly Urban earned Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week honors this week, off the back of continuing her undefeated Javelin season at the Mt. SAC Relays, throwing a 56.60m to win the Elite Invitational section by over two meters. Urban's mark ranks her fifth in the NCAA for Javelin and she will look to push for another appearance at nationals this June.
The Pack return to action this weekend at the LSU Alumni Gold this Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
