Sacramento, Calif. - Nevada Track and Field performed strongly on day two of the Hornet Invitational, hosted by Sacramento State. Highlighting the day were multiple top-5 finishes and a duo of additions to the Nevada all-time lists. 

Kicking off the day was the 3000m steeplechase, where Natalia Martino secured second place with a time of 10:35.85. That time also places Martino 7th fastest in Nevada school history. Natalie Roberts also competed in the event, finishing 11th with a time of 11:25.44. 

The 100m Hurdles was next up, where Valeria Paez-Rueda was the leader for the Pack, placing 28th with a time of 15.03. Misa Holland finished with a time of 15.24 to finish 32nd, Alma Kathan (15.30) finished in 35th and Savana Chalmers rounded out the Pack with a time of 15.35, finishing 36th. 

Magdalene George was the standout performer for the Pack in the 400m, finishing 2nd with a time of 54.48, putting her 5th all-time in Nevada history. Jasmine Harris was the only other Pack representative in the 400m, finishing 33rd with a time of 58.89. 

Vivian Groppe was the best finisher for the Pack in the 100m, finishing 16th with a time of 12.03, while Kylee Parsons finished in 22nd with a time of 12.19. 

1500m was next up for the Pack, where Madelyn Shipman was the best performer for the Pack, placing 15th with a time of 4:35.88. Hannah Lee was next best, finishing 40th with a time of 4:45.21. Paulina Hultberg (4:45.21) and Skylar Bennett (4:52.99) rounded out the Pack in 45th and 65th respectively. 

The Wolf Pack finished in 5th in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:45.39. 

Long Jump was the penultimate event of the meet for the Pack, where Kaja Maltaric was the best finisher, placing 8th with a mark of 5.75m. Isabella Minoletti also competed, placin 30th with a mark of 5.16m. 

Completing the day was the High Jump invitational, where Hazel Gaspaire cleared the 1.69m mark, securing 3rd place and Stina Larsson finished 7th with a mark of 1.59m. 

The Pack will be back April 3rd as the respective event groups will split up between the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, Brutus Hamilton Multi Event and the Stanford/SF State Invite.
