Albuquerque, N.M. - Magdalene George earned her first two Mountain West podium finishes on a hectic final day as the 2025 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships came to a close, with Nevada finishing in ninth with 30 points.
The final day was opened by the 400m final, where
Annalies Kalma ran a great race, improving on yesterday's personal record and improved her #2 time in school history, running a 53.41 in the final, finishing in 5th.
Triple Jump was contested throughout the beginning of the final day.
Meekness Dogonyaro gave her best shot at getting to the podium with a jump of 12.97m, eventually falling one spot short of podium places in 4th. Freshman
Kaja Maltaric finished in 12th getting out to the 11.64m mark.
The 60m Dash was next up for the Wolf Pack, where Sophomore
Magdalene George, ran a tightly contested race, eventually placing 3rd with a time of 7.32. This result was Maggie's first Mountain West podium finish.
George ran shortly after the 60m Dash Final, this time in the 200m Final. She ran in the first heat, running a personal best 23.32, besting her school record once again, placing her in 3rd. George's second medal of the day, two bronzes in a matter of 30 minutes for the Sophomore.
The 3000m was next up for the Wolf Pack, where
Claire Nelson was racing for Nevada. Nelson finished with a time of 10:10.32, placing her in 29th in a strong final.
The 4x400m Final was the final event of the day for the Nevada team, the lineup of
Annalies Kalma,
Magdalene George,
Jasmine Harris and
Johanna Haas running a strong race, finishing with a time of 3:51.67 to place 10th.
That concludes the indoor season for the Wolf Pack and they will return for their outdoor season March 21 at the Hornet Invite.
