RENO, Nev. – Nevada Men's Tennis senior,
Youssef Kadiri, claimed his first career conference weekly honor, following a 3-0 week in Spokane, Wash. Kadiri's undefeated weekend helped lead the Pack to a weekend sweep, defeating Montana State, 4-0, and Gonzaga, 4-3.
Â
Kadiri opened the weekend with a singles victory over Montana State's Dmitry Bezborodov, 6-3, 6-2. Kadiri's dominant top-flight performance was part of the Wolf Pack's sweep at the top of the lineup.
Â
Paired with
Rémy Trégourès, Kadiri tied the doubles session at Gonzaga, defeating Kai-Luca Ampaw and Diego Herrera, 6-3. Kadiri wrapped up his weekend by defeating Giovanni Branchetti, 6-4, 6-4. With Branchetti serving 5-4, Kadiri broke Branchetti to win the match and give Nevada the lead; it was the first break of the entire set.
Â
Kadiri's two singles victories bring him to 20 on the season, just one shy from the Nevada single-season victories list.
