Iver Walday Naess and Jeger Halbjoerhus had career days in Tuesday's Slalom on the final day of the Montana State Invitational at Bridger Bowl. The Wolf Pack pair tied for seventh overall with matching times of 1:27.0.
For Naess, it wrapped a strong start to the week, as his seventh-place finish followed a 14th-place effort in Giant Slalom a day earlier. Tuesday's finish was anchored by his first run time of 50.95, which put him in fifth place and primed for a top-10 finish. Halbjoerhus was 13th after a first run of 52.15 but came back strong with a second-run time of 52.06, eighth-fastest among the field, to end up in the tie for seventh with Naess at 1:27.00.
Jules Baur was next for the Wolf Pack men at 1:45.65, good for 21st place. He was followed by
Ulrik Danielsen (1:45.80) in 24th,
David Morken (1:46.07) in 26th, and Engebret Halbjoerhus (1:48.65) in 28th.
Zali Sutton led the Nevada women with a 17th-place finish among RMISA skiers, coming in at 1:50.36. Charlotte Clément also finished inside the top 20, coming in 19th with a time of 1:50.93.
Georgie Sullivan (1:55.40) and
Elle Murphy (2:06.31) rounded out the Wolf Pack women in Slalom.
The Wolf Pack now heads to Park City for the weekend's Utah Invitational. The Giant Slalom is set for Saturday with the Slalom on Sunday.
