SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Nevada Women's Golf team wrapped up play at the Causeway Invitational, finishing in 9th place with a final team score of 889 (+25). The Wolf Pack finished the first day in 7th place, but a competitive leaderboard saw them finish just one stroke behind Seattle and Cal Poly in a tightly contested tournament at Del Paso Country Club. The 54-hole event featured 35 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PT both days. The par-72 course, stretching 6,143 yards, provided a solid test for Nevada.

Individual Performances
Nevada had several strong performances, led by Nikki Chindavong, who finished in 15th place with a final score of 218 (+2). She opened the tournament with a stellar 70 (-2) and followed up with rounds of 73 (+1) and 75 (+3). Chindavong was steady throughout and remained in contention for a top-10 finish, demonstrating her ability to compete at a high level.
Gabby Kano was another standout for the Wolf Pack, finishing 20th with a total score of 219 (+3). She posted rounds of 72 (E), 74 (+2), and 73 (+1), showing consistency across all three rounds. Her solid play, particularly in the final round, helped Nevada stay competitive on the leaderboard.
Anna Shultse finished 38th, moving up seven spots in the final round. She carded rounds of 75 (+3), 75 (+3), and 74 (+2) for a total of 224 (+8). Her ability to stay composed throughout the tournament allowed her to make a strong final push on the leaderboard.
Raesa Sheikh finished in 50th place with a total score of 228 (+12). She started well with scores of 75 (+3) and 73 (+1), but her final round of 80 (+8) saw her drop slightly on the leaderboard. Nonetheless, she played some strong stretches of golf and contributed important scores for Nevada's team total.
Amy Na showed steady improvement throughout the event, finishing in 72nd place with a three-round total of 250 (+34). After opening with an 87 (+15), she followed up with scores of 78 (+6) and 85 (+13), gaining valuable tournament experience along the way.
Nevada also had two individual competitors. Marina Nonaka finished in 71st place with a total score of 249 (+33), recording rounds of 85, 84, and 80. Payton Lovisa played well in her first two rounds, shooting 74 and 74, before withdrawing from the final round.
