This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Men's and Women's Basketball kick off their respective 2025-26 campaigns this week, the men will play twice at home, and the women will play one at home and one on the road in Sacramento. 

Women's Volleyball continue conference play at home this week playing on Thursday and Saturday, while Men's and Women's Tennis continue fall play in Southern California. 

Men's Golf heads to the aloha state to close out the fall season, playing in the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational.

Nevada comes off of its final bye and begins the November stretch Saturday with a 4:30 p.m. PT kickoff at Utah State. The game will air on CBS Sports Network, with Chris Lewis (play-by-play) and Randy Cross (analyst).

The Wolf Pack Radio Network will call the game on KOZZ 105.7 FM in Northern Nevada, online at www.thevarsitynetwork.com and on the Varsity Network app. John Ramey (play-by-play) and Mike Edwards (analyst) will be on the call, with the 60-minute pregame show to begin at 3:30 p.m. PT.

Nevada leads the all-time series with Utah State, 19-8, and the teams have split the past four meetings. Saturday's meeting is just the sixth between the teams since Nevada joined the Mountain West in 2012-13, and the second since 2020. The Aggies defeated the Wolf Pack, 41-24, in Logan in the most recent meeting on Nov. 11, 2023.

Women's basketball begins its 2025-26 campaign with a split week, one game at home and one on the road. The Pack opens its season at home on Monday night, hosting Cal State San Marcos at 6:30 p.m. They then hit the road to face Sacramento State on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Nevada opens the 2025-26 campaign Tuesday night, hosting Louisiana Tech in the first meeting between the schools since 2012, when both were members of the WAC.

Tuesday night's opener will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and the MW App, with audio on the Wolf Pack Radio Network (95.5 FM in Reno) and the Varsity Network App (www.thevarsitynetwork.com). John Ramey will be on the call.

The Wolf Pack continues its season-opening three-game homestand Saturday night, hosting Pacific for a 7 p.m. tip. The stand will close Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a 7 p.m. game against Southern Illinois. From there, Nevada makes its first road trip of non-conference play, heading to Santa Clara for a Nov. 15 matchup.

Nevada Men's Golf heads to the aloha state this week for the final event of their fall slate, at the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational. The Pack are coming off an 11th place finish at the Saint Mary's Invitational, and will look for improvement this week. 

The starting lineup will include, Oak Seelanagae, Ben Ortwein, Liam Gobin, Riki Matsumoto and Aaron Leach, with Monte Chumchaivate and Jonathan Kim accompanying the starting five, playing as individuals this week.

Nevada volleyball kicks off a four-game home stand starting this week with Fresno State on Thursday at 6 PM and San Jose State on Saturday at 1 PM. Both games will have the theme of 'Superhero.'

Nevada Men's Tennis closes it fall campaign this Thursday-Sunday, competing at the San Diego Hidden Duals. The singles and doubles matches serve as the team's final competition until the dual season begins in after the New Year.
