SENIOR (2025-26): Played in all ten events for the Wolf Pack in his Senior season, compiling a stroke average of 72.0 ... His best finish came at the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational, where he posted rounds of 70-69-75=214 (-2), to place 10th ... Placed 12th at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational with rounds of 73-68-70= 211 (-5)... Placed 28th at the Golfweek Fall Challenge with rounds of 68-70-75= (-3)... Lowest round of the season was 68 (-4) in four seperate events. 

JUNIOR (2024-25): Played in all ten events for the Wolf Pack in his Junior season... Best finish came at the Mountain West Championships, where he posted rounds of 73-69-72=214 (-2), to place 23rd... Placed 31st at the Leadership and Golf Collegiate with rounds of 74-73-74= 221 (+5)... Placed 42nd at the General James Hackler Championship with rounds of 74-74-72=220 (+4)... Lowest round of the year came at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational, shooting a 67 (-4) in the final round to place T76. 

Rider Career (2022-24)
Spent the first two years of his collegiate career competing for Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey … Broke 70 four times in the 23/24 season … Won the McLeod Trophy as the MAAC Individual Champion … Had a scoring average of 73.56 throughout the 23/24 season. 

PERSONAL -- Son of Tammy and Eric Ortwein … Has one older brother, Jonathan Ortwein, 24 … Golfing hero is Ben Hogan ... Majoring in Marketing and wants to be a market manager after graduation … Also recruited by Campbell, Loyola Maryland and Texas State … The most memorable moment of his golfing career was his 2023 Temple Invitational final round where he shot a 68 in the second round to finish third … Enjoys roofing with his dad, and spending time working out … Chose Nevada because of coaches Patrick and Trake and said it "seemed like the right fit."
