Biography
PRIOR TO NEVADA: LIBERTY UNIVERSITY
Competed for Liberty from 2022-25… Three-time letterwinner… Helped Liberty capture three straight conference championships (2023, 2024, 2025)… Finished runner-up in the 1650 freestyle at the 2023 and 2025 conference meets… Ranked 3rd in program history in the 1650 free and 6th in the 1000 free as a freshman… Team record holder in the 1500 free… Earned Commissioner’s Academic Medal for Conference USA and was runner-up for Conference Freshman of the Year (2022-23)… Academic honors included Dean’s List (4x) and President’s List (2x)… Member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Kappa Delta Pi, and Chi Iota Sigma Honor Societies.
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Prepped at Lakota East High School in West Chester, Ohio… Four-time letterwinner in swimming and diving… Competed at the OHSAA State Championships (2020, 2021)… Part of the 400 free relay that placed 6th at the 2020 state meet, the first women’s relay in school history to qualify for state… Still holds Lakota East records in the 200, 400 free relay, and IM relay… First-team All-American in the 500 free (2021)… Multiple-time All-GMC selection… Won the 500 free at Ohio Sectionals (2019, 2020, 2021) and Districts (2021).
PERSONAL
Daughter of Kristen and Alex Gomez… Has three siblings: AJ, Ben, and Grace… Earned undergraduate degree in Elementary Education (Magna Cum Laude) from Liberty University… Pursuing graduate studies at Nevada with plans to become an elementary teacher… Chose Nevada for the graduate program, team culture, and coaching staff… Recruited heavily across Division I programs… Sports heroes include Michael Phelps, Hannah Cech, Benjamin Hongell, and her longtime coaches… Enjoys painting, teaching swim lessons, and babysitting.
