DILLON, Colo. -Â The Nevada Ski Team opened the 2025 campaign Monday at Loveland Ski Area, competing in Slalom as part of the RMISA Alpine Qualifiers.
Two-time NCAA Championships qualifier
Iver Walday Naess started his campaign with an 18th-place finish among RMISA skiers to pace the Wolf Pack men. In his second run, Walday Naess shaved little over eight-tenths of a second off of the time of his first run to post a total time of 1:30.28.
Isaac Mozen was right behind Walday Naess in 19th place, finishing his Nevada debut with a time of 1:30.44 thanks to a second run of 43.75, third-best among the 65 skiers in the second run.
Ulrik Danielsen's 44.14 second run was the seventh-best in the field, helping him rise to 24th with a total time of 1:30.93. Jeger Halbjoerhus was a spot behind Danielsen in 25th, while
Jules Baur (1:32.39) and
Ryan Herhusky (1:32.74) rounded out Nevada's skiers in the top 30, finishing 28th and 30th, respectively.
Georgie Sullivan (1:36.64) and
Zali Sutton (1:37.36) finished back-to-back in 24th and 25th place, respectively, for the Wolf Pack women, while
Elle Murphy took 30th in 1:44.09.
The Wolf Pack will compete once again in Slalom at Loveland Tuesday, as part of the first day of competition at the Denver Invitational.
