RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Track & Field program and Head Coach Shantel Twiggs have announced the addition of Caitlynn Holt out of Christopher High School in Gilroy, California.  

"Caitlynn had a breakout senior year in the 300m Hurdles, and she is just tapping the surface of her potential, especially as a 400m Hurdler," said Twiggs. "We are so excited to add Caitlynn to the program and the next few years will be incredibly fun to watch."  

Holt competed in a variety of events throughout her high school career, including the 200m, 300m, 400m, 100m Hurdles, 300m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, and the High Jump. Holt is expected to specialize in the 400m Hurdles with the Pack, where she has exceptional potential.  

Holt set a personal record in the 300m Hurdles in May at the CIF-Central Coast Section Championships, boasting a time of 44.41 to take third place at the State Championships.  

Holt also set an impressive personal record of 65.34 in the 400m Hurdles at the Stanford Invitational in March, as she took third place in the event.  

Holt has achieved highly impressive marks in the other events she competed in during high school, including earning a first-place finish in the 400m at a dual meet with a mark of 1:00.58.
