Kalma, Paz, Urban Collect CSC Academic All-District Honors

Annalies Kalma, Maria Paz Milani, and Lily Urban represented Nevada Track & Field on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Cross Country/ Track & Field Team.  

In order to qualify for a spot on the CSC Academic All-District team, athletes must hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, as well as be a significant contributor to the success of their team. Proving notable balance and commitment to both athletic and academic life.  

Kalma, a sophomore majoring in Geography, appeared in seven meets for the Wolf Pack in her sophomore 2023 debut, where she also maintained a 3.853 GPA. Kalma helped the 4x100m relay record a fourth-place overall finish in a time of 45.14, becoming second all-time in Nevada history and helped the 4x400m relay finish fifth place in a time of 3:40.05, running the second-fastest time in program history at the Mountain West Championships. She also earned Indoor All-Mountain West Honor as well as USTFCCA All-Academic.  

Paz Milani, a senior, was the second Wolf Pack athlete named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Milani placed third in the triple jump (12.27 meters) at the Aztec Invitational, beating her personal record of 12.57 meters in the triple jump at the Beach Invitational, and placed 10th in triple jump at the Mountain West Championships. Milani earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and held a 3.910 GPA in the 2023-24 academic school year.  

Urban, the third member of the Wolf Pack to the CSC Academic All-District Team, earned a spot on the 2024 Outdoor All-Mountain West team as a freshman. She qualified for her first NCAA West Preliminaries where she placed 30th in javelin with a mark of 46.94 meters and recorded a third-place finish in javelin with a Nevada personal record mark of 49.03 meters, becoming fifth all-time in school history at the Mountain West Championships. Along with her success on the field, she also maintained a 4.0 GPA pursuing a degree in Psychological Science.
