RENO, Nev. – Nevada Track and Field alumna
Nicola Ader was honored on the Mountain West's 25th Season Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
It is Ader's second honor in the Mountain West's year-long celebration of its top student-athletes across all sports in honor of the conference's 25th season. The eight-time All-American was named to the conference 25th Season Women's Indoor Track & Field Team in February.
Ader earned five of her eight career All-America honors on the outdoor track from 2018-22. She claimed three second-team All-America honors in 2019 (Heptathlon, High Jump, Long Jump), and two more honors, both in Heptathlon, in 2021 (Honorable Mention) and 2022 (Second Team).
She was also a three-time Mountain West event champion, twice capturing gold in High Jump (2019, 2022) and taking home the Heptathlon title in 2021. Headed into this week's conference championships meet, Ader still shares the Mountain West's all-time mark in the Heptathlon at 5,836 points, with San Diego State's Allison Reaser.
Ader, a seven-time outdoor conference medalist, capped her Mountain West Championships career by being named the meet's Outstanding Performer in 2022, after capturing the High Jump, earning silver in Long Jump, and taking bronze in the 100-Meter Hurdles.
Ader finished her Nevada Track & Field career as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. Over indoor and outdoor competitions, she earned a combined eight All-America honors along with seven Mountain West event titles, claiming 12 medals total, and owned the school indoor record in the 60-meter hurdles from 2020-24 until senior
Sarah Marske broke it this season. Ader was also earned 11 All-Mountain West honors, indoor and outdoor, over her career.
