Nevada soccer’s 2024 spring schedule set

RENO, Nev. - Three home matches at Mackay Stadium and four Division I opponents highlight Nevada soccer's 2024 spring schedule.

The Pack's home slate of the 2024 spring schedule includes a doubleheader on Sunday, April 14 (vs. Lake Tahoe CC at 9 a.m. and vs. Truckee Meadows CC at 4 p.m.) and a single match on Saturday, April 27 against Sacramento State at 1 p.m. Admission is free to all Nevada soccer home matches in the spring and all matches are subject to change.

"We are excited to reveal this longer and tougher 2024 spring schedule for Nevada soccer," head coach Vanessa Valentine said. "We are excited to host three home matches this spring and give the community a chance to showcase these hard-working ladies at no charge. This schedule will not only help us prepare for the tough competition in the Mountain West, but will give us a chance to play in front of the highly supportive Northern Nevada community. We can't wait to play starting March 10 and we look forward to seeing our fans starting April 14."

Nevada will begin the 2024 spring campaign on the road for its first four spring matches, starting at Cal on Sunday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. The match will serve as a homecoming for Valentine, who was an assistant coach at Cal during the 2022 season before being hired to lead the Nevada soccer program.

The Pack will travel to UC Davis, a 10-win team in 2023, for a single match on Sunday, March 17 at 5 p.m. Nevada's road swing of the 2024 spring schedule caps off on Saturday, March 30 in a doubleheader at Pacific (10 a.m.) and Chico State (1 p.m.) in Stockton, California.

Following its home doubleheader on Sunday, April 14 starting at 9 a.m., Nevada's spring schedule will wrap up with a home match on Saturday, April 27 against Sacramento State at 1 p.m.

Nevada soccer is coming off one of the best turnaround seasons in program history under Valentine's first season. Winning just three games the previous season, the Pack collected their most wins since 2015 with six and qualified for its first Mountain West Tournament since 2013.

In addition to a core of veteran players to go with three Division I transfers for the 2024 spring season, Nevada returns three-time All-Mountain West forward Emily Rich and 2023 All-Mountain West Newcomer Team goalkeeper Ally Larkin
