SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Nevada track and field wrapped up the first day of the Hornet Invitational, hosted by Sacramento State, sitting tied for fourth place overall in the team standings with 15 points.

Kicking off the day, the triple jump trio of
Meekness Dogonyaro,
Maria Paz Milani, and
Rayven Nealey all secured a spot in the final of the event after their performances in their respective flights. Dogonyaro came away with the highest finish for the Pack in third, putting the first points on the scoreboard for Nevada with six, claiming a mark of 12.41 meters. In her first outdoor appearance, Dogonyaro saw a new personal record and became fifth all-time in school history in the event. Paz Milani was not far behind, securing a mark of 12.40 meters, placing fourth in the final with her new personal record, and moving up one spot on the all-time list to now sit sixth in school history. Nealey (12.29m) scored one point for the Pack finishing sixth in the final.

For the second field event of the day, the pole vaulter squad made up of
Camrin Dolcini,
Alyssa Carson,
Shayla Pedersen, and Sam Irwin came away with top-20 finishes in the event. Dolcini (3.80m) came away with an eighth-place finish in the first outdoor meet of the season while Carson and Pedersen saw 11
th and 14
th place finishes with massive personal records from their previous best marks in 3.65 meters. Irwin (3.50m) tied her outdoor personal record, rounding out Nevada in 16
th.

In the 200 meters,
Annalies Kalma sped to a new personal record time of 24.22, writing her name on Nevada's all-time list in the event, now ranking the eighth fastest. Kalma scored three points for the Pack.
Magdalene George (24.24) secured a 10
th place finish, running a new outdoor personal record, and becoming the ninth fastest mark in school history. Out of the remaining 10 athletes representing Nevada in the event, five saw new personal records.
Kylee Parsons (25
th) saw the next highest finish with a time of 24.81 while Bonét Henderson placed 34
th in a time of 24.95. Rounding out the top-40 was Lilly Gregg (25.11) in 37
th.
Madison Kalberer (25.62) and OkeOghene Ovedje made their first outdoor appearance memorable as they saw new outdoor personal records, securing 55
th and 65
th place finishes.

In the final event of the day, the 3,000 meters,
Emily Clarke posted a top-10 finish in a new personal record time by 11 seconds in 9:45.66, earning fifth place overall.
Claire Nelson (10:06.28) and
Paige Penrose (10:41.27) both made their first collegiate career appearances in the event, finishing 15
th and 31
st respectively.
