RENO, Nev. – Nevada Men's Tennis wins both Mountain West awards, with
Matheo Coupu claiming the Player of the Week award, and
Rémy Trégourès taking home his third Freshman of the Week honor.

Coupu's first Player of the Week award of his career comes with a victory over No. 114 Ryan Torres and a weekend doubles sweep paired with
Youssef Kadiri.

The Pack's top doubles pair opened the weekend versus San Francisco by winning six straight games to defeat Davide Cortimiglia and Giovanni Branchetti, 6-1. Coupu and Kadiri followed their Friday victory with a tiebreaker win at UC Davis, beating Lucas Bollinger and Max Fardanesh, 7-6. The Wolf Pack duo finished the weekend sweep with Saturday afternoon's 7-5 victory against Hawai'i's Andy Hernandez and Karl Collins.

Coupu's weekend highlight came in his ranked victory Torres of UC Davis. Coupu defeated the ranked Aggie in straight sets, including a first-set tiebreaker 7-6, before claiming the second set 6-3.

Trégourès, claiming his third Freshman of the Week award of the season, finished his weekend in Davis with a 4-2 overall record. The Frenchman's tournament began with a pair of victories against San Francisco, including a 6-4 doubles win against Asaf Freidler and Roman Lafond, as well as a dominant defeat against Cortimiglia, 6-2, 6-1, sparking the Pack's victory over the Dons, 4-3.

The Nevada freshman finished his weekend with a dual sweep against Hawai'i. Paired with
Greg Valente, Trégourès defeated Sohta Urano and Guillaume Tattevin, 6-4. Trégourès continued his success with a 6-1, 6-3 singles victory against Urano on court five.

The Wolf Pack's award sweep is the program's first since the Mountain West introduced the Freshman of the Week award in 2022.

Nevada returns to action next week with its home opener on March 20 at 2 p.m. against Saint Mary's. Admission to McArthur Tennis Center is free for spectators.
