LAS VEGAS - Nevada women's basketball guards
Audrey Roden (Honorable Mention) and
Izzy Sullivan (Honorable Mention and All-Freshman) received All-Mountain West honors, the conference announced Sunday.
Roden and Sullivan were both named Honorable Mention while Sullivan also earned a spot on the All-Freshman team. Roden's honor marks her second career All-Mountain West award, earning All-Mountain West Freshman Team honors in 2022. Nevada has now had at least one All-Mountain West recipient every year since joining the conference prior to the 2012-13 season.
Roden finished the regular season leading Nevada in scoring, coming up with just over 11 points per game. The West Linn, Oregon, native also led Nevada in steals and finished the regular season in the top 15 in the Mountain West in that category.
The two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete was instrumental in Nevada's victories Feb. 14-17 against San Diego State and Boise State, earning her first Mountain West Player of the Week honor on Feb. 19. Roden delivered the go-ahead 3-pointer to give Nevada the lead for good in the final minute of play on Feb. 14 against San Diego State and scored 17 points in an overtime win on Feb. 17 against Boise State. She averaged 18 points per game during that stretch and has been a key for Nevada finishing in the top four in the Mountain West for the second time in the last three years.
Roden scored in double figures in eight Mountain West games and has recorded a multi-steal game six times in conference games. She has recorded a steal in all but three Mountain West games.
Sullivan was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week four times during the 2023-24 season, the most by a Nevada freshman in program history. The Sammamish, Washington, native finished the regular season leading Mountain West freshmen players in scoring in conference play. She also finished in the top 20 among all conference players in scoring in Mountain West games.
Leading Nevada in 3-pointers made with 50, Sullivan is just one of two Nevada freshmen in program history to make at least 50 3-pointers in a single season. She currently has the second-most made 3-pointers by a Nevada freshman in a single season in program history.
Sullivan led Nevada in scoring during Mountain West play with just over 11 points per game. She also became the first Nevada freshman in program history to hit a 3-pointer in 10 consecutive games when she had 11 straight games with a 3-pointer earlier this year. She is currently one of five freshman players in women's college basketball (Carla Viegas - Florida State, Keelie O'Hollaren - Air Force, Ellie Brueggemann - Lindenwood, Kailey Woolston - BYU) to have at least 10 consecutive games with a 3-pointer.
Roden, Sullivan and the rest of the Wolf Pack women's basketball team begins its quest for a Mountain West title in Monday's quarterfinal against Colorado State at 2:30 p.m.
