LA QUINTA, Calif. - Nevada Men's Golfer Liam Gobin, the junior from Liverpool, England, closed out what was an exceptional three days recording an even-par 71, bringing his 54-hole score to 209 (-4), as he finished tied for 17th overall in a prolific field of 120 golfers. The T17 finish marked Gobin's best finish as a member of the Wolf Pack program.
As a team, Nevada shot 297 (+13), and the Pack finished in the 22nd position on the team leaderboard with a three round score of 875 (+23).Â
Gobin was incredibly consistent throughout the final round, as he recorded 16 pars, one birdie, and one bogey. Gobin had by far his best outing at the Division I level after transferring to Nevada from McLennan CC ahead of the 2023-24 season. Gobin's score of 209 surpassed his previous best mark of 220, which he earned at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational this past fall.Â
Enrique Dimayuga finished second in the Wolf Pack lineup and tied for 66th overall with a score of 217 (+4) throughout the event. Dimayuga closed out the tournament with a final round score of 74 (+3). The senior recorded nine pars and three birdies across the final 18 holes.Â
Freshman Jonathan Kim finished just one stroke back of Dimayuga on the final leaderboard, as he recorded a 54-hole score of 218 (+5) and finished the event tied for 72nd. Kim shot 74 on Wednesday, and he tallied 10 pars and three birdies during the third round.Â
Tom Patterson and Ryan Sear each carded scores of 78 (+7) for the final round of the tournament, and Patterson finished in 118th at +18 for the event, while Sear concluded The Prestige in 119th at +20.
Individual Competition
In the individual competition, Keita Okada had another strong day to close out the event, as he carded a 71 (-1) for the final round and finished tied for 16th at even par. Okada had 13 pars and three birdies across the final 18 holes.Â
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae had his best round of the week on Wednesday, recording a score of 70 (-2) after tallying 14 pars, three birdies, and just one bogey to close out the tournament. Seelanagae concluded the event tied for 21st with a three round score of 217 (+1).
Alex Maxwell shot 74 (+2) on Wednesday, and he finished the event tied for 27th with a 54-hole score of 219 (+3).Â
Aaron Leach carded a 78 (+6) for the final round, and he ended the event tied for 55th at +18.Â
