Placed 90th at the Palouse Invitational with rounds of 85-76-76= 237... Played the individual tournament at The Prestige, placing 36th with rounds of 78-87-78=243.Â
FRESHMAN (2023-24) --Â Joined the program ahead of the spring 2023 season but did not compete in any events.Â
PRIOR TO NEVADA
A local product, Sear enrolled at Nevada ahead of the Spring 2023 season after competing for Galena high School in Washoe Valley throughout his high school career ... Earned one top-five finish throughout his amateur career, finishing fith at the 2021 Salinas Valley Amateur Championship ... Earned three top-35 finishes throughout 2022 at the Memorial Amateur (T-35), San Francisco City Championship (32nd), and the AGC Pacific Grove City Championship (9th).
PERSONAL -- Son of Steve and Ann-Marie Sear … His father, Steve, played collegiate golf at USC, professional golf in Latin America, KFT, some PGA tour Has three siblings, Claire, Sean and Casey … Golfing hero is Tiger Woods ... Majoring in Marketing and is still undecided on what he wants to do after graduation … Also recruited by UOP, Seattle, Cal Poly and Gonzaga … The most memorable moment of his golfing career was winning the NV State Junior Am … Enjoys skiing, fishing, any other outdoor activities … Chose Nevada because of his close relationships in the Reno community and saw aligning goals with Coach Carpenter.
