Charleston, SC. - Nevada is looking to get a bounce back win against VCU after their shortcoming in the 71-73 loss against Vanderbilt. The VCU Rams are coming off a nail biting 66- 69 loss against Seton Hall in their first round of the 2024 Shriners Children's Charleston Classic.VCU is led by former Utah State coach, Ryan Odom who in his last tenure in 2022-23 season led the Aggies to a 26-9 record, and tied second in the Mountain West Conference. Ryan Odom also led Utah State to an appearance into the NCAA Division I Round of 64.
The VCU Rams were selected as the preseason favorite in the A-10 conference for the 2024-25. This is highly impressive considering the Rams are in a conference with teams like Dayton, Saint Joseph's, Rhode Island, etc. With a win Friday, the Wolf Pack can a impressive Quad 2 win in their non-conference schedule. The winner of this game will go onto play the winner of Miami and Oklahoma State. The loser of this game will play the corresponding loser to the Miami and Oklahoma State game for the seventh place title.
