Reno, Nev. - The 60m Hurdles kicked off Day 3 of the Silver State Invitational hosted by Nevada at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Nevada got off to a hot start, winning three of the four heats. Johanna Haas was the best of the group, qualifying for the final with a the 8th best time of 8.88. Misa Holland and Savana Chalmers put in great efforts with times of 9.10 and 9.11, to place them just outside the final qualifiers, they placed 12th and 14th respectively. Rounding out the Wolf Pack in the hurdles was Lena Manchester who ran a 9.40. 

Both Wolf Pack triple jumpers entered the top-10 all-time list, a great showing from pair Meekness Dogonyaro and Kaja Maltaric. Dogonyaro set the 4th best jump in program history, reaching 12.64m on her second attempt. Freshman Kaja Maltaric jumped into 8th placed in the all-time list in her first meet with the Pack, reaching the 12.02m mark. 

The 60m Dash prelims were exciting as Magdalene George broke her second school record of the meet, running an amazing 7.40 in the 60m Dash. George breaks an 11 year record set by Angelica Earls back in 2013. George was joined by Johanna Haas and Vivian Groppe in the 60m Dash prelims, they finished 16th and 17th, with times of 7.75 and 7.76 respectively. Unbelievably, Magdalene George broke her own school record in the 60m Dash Final, winning with a time of 7.32, breaking the school record she set this morning. An astonishing feat for a Wolf Pack sprinter who will be in the record books for the foreseeable future. 

The Distance Medley Relay was up next, representing the Wolf Pack was Natalia Martino, Mary DeMartino, Hannah Lee and Kylee Denver. Our Wolf Pack runners finished in 3rd running a time of 12:23.47. Following the DMR was the 4x400 relay where the Wolf Pack had teams in the first and third heats. The first group of runners Kylee Parsons, Magdalene George, Leylah Diaz and Caitlynn Holt ran very strongly with a time of 3:51.11 to finish in 3rd place overall. The Nevada "B" team for the 4x400 consisted of Jasmine Harris, Vivian Groppe, Lena Manchester and Savana Chalmers finished with the 10th best time of 4:05.64. 

The Wolf Pack are back in action January 11th and 12th, competing at home at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in the Silver and Blue Invitational.
