Charleston, SC. - Nevada is now scheduled to play Big 12 conference's Oklahoma State in the consolation championship game for 5th place after beating VCU on a game-winning shot by
Kobe Sanders. The momentum to get back on a winning streak is high, and a Big 12 matchup could build up a win over VCU.
Oklahoma State is currently 4-1 and was projected 14th in the Big 12 preseason poll ahead of the 2024 -25 season. Oklahoma State is coming off a steady win against ACC powerhouse Miami, a six-point win.Â

Following the win, Nevada will host Washington State on December 2nd in Lawlor Events Center to continue through the non-conference schedule.
