RENO, Nev. - Football, volleyball, swim, and golf go on the road this week while Nevada soccer will play a pair of home matches at Mackay Stadium starting Thursday. Here is what is happening this week in Wolf Pack Athletics.
Soccer
Nevada soccer plays a pair of home matches, facing Fresno State Thursday at 7 p.m. in Greek Night/Pride Night and Sunday against San Jose State at 1 p.m. in Youth Day. The first 75 students who are actively in a fraternity or sorority will receive free tacos from Del Taco for Thursday's match. The first 150 kids 8th grade and under will receive a free Wolf Pack lunch tote bag. All 8th grade and under kids who wear a soccer jersey will receive free admission for Sunday's match. Tickets for each match start at just $7 online and are available for purchase on-site starting at $10.
Nevada is coming off a huge 1-0 road decision at Wyoming, the preseason Mountain West favorites. The Pack managed to win the match despite playing with 10 players in the final 29 minutes after a red card was issued to Nevada. Goalkeeper
Emily McCue recorded her first shutout in the victory, earning Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week honors in the process.

Volleyball
After a five-match home slate, Nevada volleyball goes on the road to take on the San Jose Spartans Thursday evening at 6 p.m at Spartan Gym. The Pack are coming off a five-set 3-2 heartbreaker against Fresno State at Virginia Street Gym Tuesday evening, dropping to 4-10 on the season and 0-3 in conference play. Following the match at San Jose State, Nevada will then continue on the road to Utah State Thursday, October 5 at 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 7 taking on Boise State at 11 a.m before returning home Thursday, October 12 at 6 p.m. going up against UNLV at Virginia Street Gym.

Swim and Dive
Nevada swim will open their first conference meet on the road at the San Jose State Relay Meet, Saturday Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. This is the first of four conference match-ups this season for the Pack, the next Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. at Fresno State.

Women's Tennis
Nevada Women's Tennis opens its fall season at the Berkeley Invitational, running from Sept. 29-Oct. 1. The Pack will send a full complement of student-athletes to the event, competing in both the singles and doubles draws.

Men's Golf
The Nevada Men's Golf team will head to Colorado for their third tournament of the season, as they are set to compete at the Mark Simpson Invitational, hosted by Colorado at Colorado National Golf Club. The Pack is coming off a solid outing at the Husky Invitational where they finished four shots over par to take ninth place. The Mark Simpson Invitational will begin on Monday, October 2, and conclude on Tuesday afternoon. Nevada will compete against a strong 17-team field, seeking to earn their first title of the season. Women's Golf
After an impressive sixth-place finish this past weekend to commence the season, the Nevada Women's Golf team will travel to Tacoma, Washington to participate in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, hosted by Seattle U. The event is set to begin Monday, Oct. 2 and conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Nevada had an impressive start to the season, taking sixth-place in a 16-team field, while
