RENO, Nev. - Nevada Women's Golfer Leah John put together four consecutive rounds of even par or better to finish tied for 19th in a field of 318 golfers at the 2023 LPGA and Epson Tour Stage I Qualifying Tournament, advancing her to the second stage of Qualifying School.  

John opened play this week with an exceptional first round, carding a four-below-par 68 after recording five birdies and 12 pars. 

She followed up her first-round performance with a 70 (-2) on the second day of competition, tallying 14 pars and three birdies throughout the round. 

John then proceeded to shoot 71 (-1) in the third round, while accumulating nine pars and five birdies, before closing out the event by carding an even-par 72 in the fourth and final round, securing a tie for 19th place.  

The second stage of Qualifying School is set to take place at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida, beginning Tuesday, October 17 and concluding Friday, October 20. All 99 golfers that advanced through the first stage are guaranteed to receive Epson Tour status, and the top-30 finishers at the second qualifying stage will earn a spot in the Q-series, where the top-45 scores earn LPGA tour status.
