RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's golfer Victoria Gailey is set to begin play at the 2023 NCAA Regionals in San Antonio, Texas on Monday morning, as she will compete against some of the top collegiate talent in the nation during the three-day 54-hole event, where she will aim to advance to the NCAA Championships. 

Gailey is slated to begin first-round play at 7:50am on Monday, and she will start her round on the 10th hole.

The First Team All-Mountain West honoree has put together an outstanding fifth season competing for the Pack, and the regional appearance makes her just the second golfer in program history to earn two NCAA Regional bids throughout her career.

The San Antonio Regional will be held at world-renowned TPC San Antonio, the annual host of the PGA Tour's Valero Open. The course is a par-72, spanning 6,420 yards. Tournament play will begin Monday morning and conclude on Wednesday afternoon, with one 18-hole round scheduled for each day. 

The San Antonio Regional consists of 12 teams and six individual golfers, and the top individual finisher not on an advancing team will qualify for the 2023 NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Gailey is coming off of a tie for sixth place finish at the Mountain West Championships. Overall, Gailey has earned six top-10 finishes in nine events this year, including three individual titles, as she has compiled one of the best individual seasons in program history. Gailey will need to have one of her best performances yet over the next three days if she seeks to generate more history and become the first golfer in program history to advance to the NCAA Championships.
