RENO, Nev. - Nevada shortstop Haylee Engelbrecht claimed Mountain West Player and Freshman of the week, Tuesday morning.

Engelbrecht started in all five games played this past weekend, helping Nevada go undefeated at the FIU Classic tournament. 

The freshman registered a .500 batting average with four runs, eight hits, and nine RBI with 16 at-bats appearances. 

The Loomis, Calif. native knocked three home runs, a double, 18 total bases, and a 1.125 slugging percentage during the weekend. 

On defense, Engelbrecht put out three players with 12 assists, and no errors.
