SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Nevada Men's Golf team closed out play at the 2023 Lamkin San Diego Classic Tuesday afternoon, taking 12th place for the event after carding a 54-hole score of 894 (+30). 
Alex Maxwell finished first in the Wolf Pack lineup and tied for 32nd overall in the event, turning in a three-round score of 220 (+4). He shot 75 (+3) over the final 18 holes of play after tallying two birdies and 12 pars. 
Keita Okada carded a 76 (+4) for the final round, putting his 54-hole score at 224 (+8), and placing him in a tie for 56th on the final leaderboard. Okada earned one birdie and 13 pars throughout the third round.
Michael Sarro recorded a 74 (+2) throughout the final round, and he finished the event tied for 70th overall after putting together a 54-hole score of 227 (+11). Sarro picked up three birdies and 10 pars in the third round to match his first-round score.
Trey Davis had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a one-over-par 73 after tallying three birdies and 11 pars on the day. Davis finished tied for 78th with an overall score of 231 (+15).
Peyton Callens shot 79 (+7) over the final 18 holes, placing him in a tie for 83rd with a three-round score of 232 (+16).
Competing as an individual participant, Connor Motherway had an impressive final round, recording a 73 (+1) to move up the leaderboard and finish tied for 63rd. Motherway had two birdies and 13 pars in the third round.
Up Next
Nevada will have a three-week break before returning to California to compete at The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford. The three-day event will begin on Thursday, March 30.
