HUNTING SEASON
Nevada women's basketball is going from the hunted to the hunters in 2023-24, with this year's theme being "The Hunt". Nevada is looking to bounce back after finishing just 10-21 last season with an eighth place finish in the Mountain West. "The Hunt" theme is a daily reminder for the team in 2023-24, with the words being printed on this season's practice jerseys.
IN LEVENS WE TRUST
Nevada women's basketball head coach
Amanda Levens enters the second year of her contract extension that was signed last season. Levens, who has been at the helm of Nevada women's basketball since 2017, is currently third in program history in wins, has guided the Pack to a pair of postseason appearances and has coached players to 10 All-Conference honors. She is six wins away from becoming the third coach in program history to record 100 wins at Nevada.
AWESOME AUDREY
Audrey Roden, a member of the 2021-22 Mountain West All-Freshman Team, returns to Nevada for her junior season. She started the season by registering her fifth career 20-point game by dropping 21 in the season opener Nov. 9 and has averaged 19 points per game to start the season. As a sophomore, Roden finished in the top 20 in the Mountain West in scoring average in conference games. The West Linn, Oregon, native scored in double figures 15 times in 2022-23, including three 20-point outings. She also became the third Nevada sophomore to reach 500 career points under head coach
Amanda Levens. Roden is currently in the top 10 nationally in steals and second in the Mountain West with 26 and came up with her second career double-double Nov. 29 against San Diego (22 points, 11 rebounds).
SWEET STEALS
Nevada women's basketball has made getting steals and forcing turnovers a part of their early identity. The Pack are currently 14th in the nation and first in the Mountain West in steals, averaging 13 steals per game. Nevada is also in the top 60 in the nation in turnover margin with an average of 5.5. The 23 steals Nov. 9 are the fourth-most by a Wolf Pack squad in a single game in the NCAA Era.
SCOUTING WEBER STATE
