LARAMIE, Wyo. - Nevada soccer junior forward Emily Rich (Second Team) and redshirt freshman goalkeeper Ally Larkin (Newcomer Team) were named to the 2023 All-Mountain West Team, the conference announced Sunday. 

Rich, who earned All-Mountain West honors in 2021 and 2022, is the first Nevada soccer player in program history to earn All-Conference honors in three consecutive seasons. Larkin's award marks three out of the last four years Nevada has had at least one player on the All-Mountain West Newcomer Team.  

Leading Nevada in goals (5), assists (3) and points (13) in 2023 , Rich finished the regular season in the top 10 in the conference in goals. The Coarsegold, California, native was one of nine players in the Mountain West to have a multi-goal match in conference play. She recorded her second career multi-goal match against the regular season champion San Diego State Oct. 15.

Her five goals and 13 points in 2023 are currently in the top 10 in program history for a single season. She is currently in the top 10 in program history in career goals, career assists and career points. Rich is just one assist away from moving to third on the program's career assists list and only needs one more point to reach the top five on the program's career points list. 

In addition to holding top 10 spots in three categories in the program's career record book, Rich accomplished something no other Nevada soccer player did in 2022. She became the first player in program history to record three assists in a match, doing so Sept. 4, 2022 against Sacramento State. 

Larkin stepped up in the net for the Pack in 2023, collecting three solo shutouts during Mountain West matches in her first collegiate soccer season. The Puyallup, Washington, native is the first Nevada freshman goalkeeper to record multiple shutouts in Mountain West matches since the Pack joined the conference in 2012. 

In the 88th minute against Fresno State Sept. 28, Larkin came up with a penalty kick save that allowed Nevada to end the match in a draw and receive a point in the conference standings. Nevada later finished one point ahead of both UNLV and Air Force to clinch the final spot in the Mountain West Tournament. 

After a shutout against the defending Mountain West champions San José State Oct. 1, Larkin was named Mountain West Defensive Player/Freshman of the Week. She also received national recognition from TopDrawerSoccer (Honorable Mention for Top Performances) for her efforts. 

With the help of Rich's relentless offense and Larkin's clutch defense in the net, Nevada clinched its first bid to the Mountain West Tournament since 2013. Nevada finished with 13 points to earn the No. 6 seed for the Pack's highest finish in conference play in the last decade. 

Nevada begins the first round of the Mountain West Tournament at 10 a.m. Sunday against No. 3 seed Boise State in Laramie, Wyoming.
