RENO, Nev. - Three Nevada teams will be in action this week, as Wolf Pack Football and Volleyball get their 2022 campaigns underway, and Women's Soccer heads to The Palouse for its second weekend.

FOOTBALL
Nevada (0-0) opens the
Ken Wilson Era this Saturday night, visiting Las Cruces to take on New Mexico at 7 p.m. PT (8 p.m. local). Saturday's contest will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Roy Philpott (play-by-play) and Andre Ware (analyst) on the call, and Paul Carcaterra on the sidelines.
The Wolf Pack Radio Network will call the game as well on ESPN 94.5 FM with John Ramey (play-by-play) and Mike Edwards (analyst) in the booth, with the 60-minute pregame show to begin at 6 p.m. PT.

SOCCERÂ
Nevada women's soccer, who is returning its top four leading scorers from last season, got an offensive acceleration from its freshmen in the season opener last Thursday at UC Riverside. Nevada started five freshmen, the first time since 2018 five first-year collegiate players started a season opener for Nevada, and had its two goals scored by freshman
Jasmine Navarro and
Eva Wees. Navarro and Wees, who each had an assist against UC Riverside, were the second and third Nevada freshmen in the last two years to record a goal and an assist in the same game (
Trinity Sandridge, Aug. 26, 2021 vs. UTEP).

VOLLEYBALL
Nevada volleyball starts the season on the road at the Sacramento State tournament, where they will face the host team, Portland, and Middle Tennessee State. The Pack has 10 newcomers, including seven freshmen and three transfers. Â
