Nevada Football and Churchill County High School to host the Fallon/Wolf Pack Football & Community Festival April 10

RENO, Nev. – The Wolf Pack are headed to Fallon and Churchill County! The Fallon/Wolf Pack Football & Community Festival featuring an evening of food, fun, tailgating and Wolf Pack football will take place Friday, April 10 at 6 p.m. at Churchill County High School. The Festival will be FREE to the public.

In addition to the opportunity for the Churchill County community to meet the Wolf Pack team, the Festival will feature a number of interactive activities for those attending, including the "Fastest Kid in Fallon" contest, a punt, pass, and kick competition with Nevada players and local children, a chance for a fan to kick a field goal, a youth cheer clinic with the Nevada cheer team, and a (likely) performance by members of the university's Pride of Sierra Marching band. There will be prizes and giveaways from Nevada Athletics throughout the event.

"We are extremely excited to bring our team to Fallon and showcase our team, this great group of young men we have put together. Getting out to a place like Fallon where sports are such an integral part of the fabric of the community, and the opportunity to connect with all of our fans in Churchill County and throughout Northern Nevada is really special," said Nevada Football head coach Jeff Choate. "With a ton of fun activities planned for everyone who joins us, it should truly be an amazing night, and I can't wait to get there."

Fallon has a proud history of its local graduates going on to star for the Wolf Pack on the gridiron. Offensive lineman Harvey Dahl played for the Pack from 2001-04, being twice named All-WAC and serving as a Wolf Pack team caption in 2003 and 2004. Dahl went on to play in 87 NFL games over eight seasons (2006-13) and was inducted into the Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.

Linebacker Josh Mauga also made the short move to Nevada to continue his football career, and played 59 NFL games from 2010-15 after being named to the Sporting News Freshman All-America Team with the Wolf Pack.

Following the scrimmage, the Wolf Pack will hold a team autograph session and the Festival will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show.

"Fallon is a community built on pride, connection, and tradition, with a deep appreciation for athletics," said Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford. "We are excited to welcome Wolf Pack Football to Fallon and look forward to an evening that brings together the people of Fallon, families, and visitors, highlighting what makes the City of Fallon such a special place to live, work, and play. Come celebrate with us."
