STANFORD, Calif. - The Nevada men's golf team shot five-under to finish 13-under and tied for second following Round 2 of The Goodwin at Stanford Golf Course Friday. It was moving day and the Pack rose three spots from fifth into a tie with SMU and seven strokes back of No. 14 Stanford.
 
Nevada (-13) shot 275 as a team and is tied for second with SMU, seven strokes behind No. 14 Stanford (-20). The Pack notched the fourth-lowest second-round score (-5), trailing only UC Davis (-9), Stanford (-8), and Oregon (-6), to move up three spots. No. 9 Washington (-12) is one stroke back of Nevada and tied for fourth with No. 11 Georgia Tech (-12) and Brigham Young (-10) rounds out the top six.
 
Peyton Callens (-8) is tied for third after shooting 67 (-3) during the second round. Callens posted two birdies and an eagle with only one bogey during his round today. He was third after the first round yesterday and lowered his score by three shots during today's 18 holes. Callens continues his solid scoring with the last four rounds being his lowest rounds of the season. In yesterday's round one, he tied the lowest score of his career (65) and in today's round, he tied his second-lowest round (67) of the year.
 
Callens has been below par over his last eight rounds and has only shot three bogeys through 36 holes at The Goodwin.

A.J. Lintunen shot 71 during the second 18 holes of play for a four-under to tie for 18th. Lintunen made two birdies today. 

After a bumpy start to the tournament, Quim Vidal Mora rallied with a 67 in the second round to lower his score to two-under and tie for 29th. 

Trey Davis is tied for 70th after his even-par 70 today (+2) and Tom Patterson is tied for 129th at 12 over following an 81 in the second round. 

The Pack is back in action at 1:20 p.m. tomorrow with the final round of The Goodwin at Stanford Golf Course.
