PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Nevada men's golf team will compete against a deep and talented field in The Goodwin Thursday-Saturday hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.
 
The Pack just finished fifth in its most recent tournament, the Lamkin San Diego Classic Mar. 8. Trey Davis led the team with a three-under score to finish tied for 18th. It marked the seventh top-7 finish for the Pack this season, in seven tournaments played. Nevada hasn't finished outside the top-7 in its events this season.

Nevada has finished in the top five in its last three tournaments with a high mark of second at the Desert Intercollegiate Mar. 2-4. Quim Vidal Mora and A.J. Lintunen shot five-under to finish tied for fifth and lead the team.
 
The Wolf Pack joins a 28-team field, including host Stanford, Oregon, Northwestern, San Francisco, Brigham Young, San José State, California, Denver, Drexel, Cal Poly, Washington, Little Rock, SMU, San Diego, Saint Mary's, Washington State, Florida Atlantic, Miami University (OH), Hawai'i – Hilo, Howard University, Georgia Tech, UC Davis, UCLA, Long Beach State, Colorado, Rutgers, and Wofford.
 
Nevada will send five players to The Goodwin with the quintet of Quim Vidal Mora, A.J. Lintunen, Trey Davis, Peyton Callens, and Tom Patterson making up the team entry.
 
The Pack last competed in The Goodwin Mar. 25-27 of 2021 with Sam Harned finishing tied for first and the team finishing sixth. Harned shot rounds of 63 (RD. 1), 70 (RD. 2), and 67 (RD. 3) to share the individual title. He shot 10 under to co-medal with Blake Hathcoat of Saint Mary's. It marked the second win of his career after taking the 2019 Badger Invitational.

Nevada had three players finish with a par or better score in its last appearance at The Goodwin. Trey Davis is the only returning member of the roster to last compete in the 2021 event finishing with a 16 over.
 
The Wolf Pack has competed in The Goodwin five times with its highest finish coming during the 2021 event, sixth. This year there will be 28 teams competing plus individuals. The event will be held at Stanford Golf Course (Stanford, CA) which will be oriented as a Par 71, 6,742-yard course for the tournament.

Tee times for the morning wave run from 7:00-9:06 a.m. PT off holes #1 and #10 at 14-minute increments. The afternoon wave will tee off between 12:10-2:16 p.m. PT.  The pairings for round 1 and round 2 will be the same, with round 3 tee times based on scoring. Nevada will tee off at 1:20 p.m. on 10th hole. 
 
Nevada has two more events following The Goodwin prior to the Mountain West Championships Apr. 30- May 1. It will enter the Cowboy Classic Apr. 4-5 and the BYU Cougar Classic Apr. 22-23 prior to the championships.
