TACOMA, Wash. -Â A strong final push to Monday's second round helped Nevada Women's Golf into the top five after 36 holes at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at Tacoma Country Club.
The Pack (296-293=589, +13) enters Tuesday's final round in fifth place, nine strokes back of co-leaders Gonzaga and Weber State, which are tied at +4. Final-round play will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday.
Victoria Gailey continued her strong play a week after capturing the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic, firing rounds of 72-71 to finish the day one-under (143), just two strokes off the pace set by Cal Baptist's Hailey Loh (-3). Gailey played steady rounds, balancing one birdie and one bogey in the first round, then carding a pair of birdies against just one bogey over her second 18.
Leah John rebounded from an opening-round 77 to fire a two-under 70 in the second round, climbing into a tie for 20th at +3 (147).
Gabby Kano carded matching 74s to finish the day at +4 (148) and in a tie for 30th.
Raesa Sheikh (74-78=152, +8) and
Anitra Khoth (76-78=154, +10) rounded out the Pack quintet.
