Par 72 - 6,309 yards
HENDERSON, Nev. -Â Another well-played round at The Clash at Boulder Creek led to Nevada Women's Golf stretching its lead over the field to 10 strokes, Monday. The Pack went six-under (282) for Monday's second round, and at 10-under (284-282=566) has a double-digit lead on second-place Long Beach State.
Leah John remains tied for the individual lead, firing a one-under 71 Monday to get to five-under (68-71=139) for the tournament. She remains neck-and-neck with Idaho's Yvonne Vinceri, who once again matched John for the day. John played a bogey-free back nine Monday, carding two birdies to rebound from a double-bogey at No. 9.
Victoria Gailey carded a second-straight 70 Monday, and moved into contention for her third-straight tournament title at four-under (70-70=140) for the tournament. Gailey overcame three front-nine bogeys Monday, and was at +2 for the round until a birdie at the par-4 No. 14 started a finishing kick of four birdies over her final five holes to creep to within a stroke of John and Vinceri.
Anitra Khoth also wedged her way into the top five headed into the final 18 holes. Khoth shot a 71, helped by three birdies on the back nine, to get into a tie for fifth at two-under (71-71=142).
Gabby Kano provided the Pack lineup's fourth under-par round of the day, with her eagle 3 at the par-5 No. 16 accounting for her two-under 70 Monday. The bounceback from her opening-round 75 brought her into a tie for 16th at +1 (75-70=145).
No. 16 was the magic hole for the Pack Monday, as all six golfers went under par (five birdies and Kano's eagle).
Kaitlin Fleiner birdied No. 16, as well as her final hole of the day, the par-5 No. 2, to finish with a 75 to round out the Nevada lineup.
Raesa Shiekh, competing as an individual, shot a 71 Monday to rebound from an opening-round 78.
The field will tee off at 8 a.m., in a shotgun start, for Tuesday's final round
