Bosetti named Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball

RENO, Nev. – For the first time in his career, Nevada baseball infielder Tyler Bosetti has earned All-American honors. Bosetti was named a Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball Thursday morning.

This is Nevada's first All-American honoree since the 2018 season when the Wolf Pack's Grant Fennell earned Third Team All-American honors from the ABCA and Rawlings. Also in that year current members of the Pack Joshua Zamora and Jake Jackson were named Freshman All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball.

This honor comes during a career season for Bosetti. The redshirt junior, who started all 43 games for the Wolf Pack, set single-season career-highs in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.337), hits (63), doubles (22), triples (3), home runs (11), RBI (47) and runs (46). His 22 doubles ranks sixth in the nation but he is first nationally in doubles per game averaging 0.51 two base hits per contest. Bosetti was terrific in conference play as well batting .382 and leading the team in RBI, doubles and runs scored.

Earlier in May Bosetti grabbed national headlines after hitting a home run in nine consecutive games, which broke an NCAA record that had stood for 30 years. During that nine-game streak he blasted 10 home runs and batted .442 with 10 home runs, two doubles, two triples, 19 hits, 21 RBI and 20 runs scored. To close out the regular season Bosetti had hit safely in 18 of the last 19 games of the season. He ranks third on the team with 17 multi-hit games and is second with 12 multi-RBI performances.

Nevada will compete in NCAA Regionals this week at the Stanford Regional as the No. 3 seed. The Wolf Pack will face the No. 2 seed UC Irvine this Friday, June 4 at 6 p.m. in game one.
