NEVADA
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2021) -- All-Mountain West Second Team selection … Posted a 5-4 record, with his five wins tied for the team lead and tied for third-most in the conference … His ERA of 5.45 ranked seventh in the Mountain West … Made 15 appearances on the year with 13 starts … Tossed two seven-inning complete games getting wins against San Diego State on April 30 and at Fresno State on May 15 … Tossed a team-high 74.1 innings, which was third-most in the Mountain West … Recorded 44 strikeouts to just 15 walks … Struck out 17 batters looking, tied for fourth in the conference … Pitched a season-high 7.1 innings in his final start of the season, against UC Irvine in game one of NCAA Regionals … Struck out a season-high six batters at Fresno State on May 15 … Threw 5.0 innings or more in 10 of his 15 appearances … Letter winner.

JUNIOR (2020 - Season shortened due to COVID-19) -- Boasted the best ERA among Nevada starters at 3.00 for the season, making four starts … His 24 innings of work ranked as tied for the second-most in the Mountain West … His seven innings pitched at Oregon was the most by a Nevada pitcher this season, where he only allowed one earned run and struckout three Ducks … Earned his first win of the year against California Baptist (3/6) where he tossed 6.1 frames, only allowed one earned run and struckout three batters … Finished with 16 strikeouts on the year, the second-most on the team … Held opposing batters to a .271 batting average.

SOPHOMORE (2019) -- Appeared in 11 games while making 10 starts … Posted a 7.36 ERA on the year with 33 innings pitched and 24 strikeouts … Recorded at least one strikeout in every game played … Tallied a season-high five punch outs in back-to-back appearances against UNLV (4/20) and at Air Force (4/28) … Earned his lone win of the season in that contest against the Falcons … Lettered for the second time.

FRESHMAN (2018) -- Earned second-team All-Mountain West honors and was named a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American in his first season … Finished his first season with a team-high 77 strikeouts and eight wins, which was tied for first in the conference … His 77 punch outs ranked fourth among Mountain West pitchers … Went eight innings in wins against UC Riverside (3/18) and at UNLV (5/13) … Was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after his performance against UC Riverside … Recorded 13 strikeouts at Oral Roberts, the most by a Nevada pitcher since 2000 … At New Mexico, earned a save (3/2) and a win (3/4)  in the same weekend after pitching six shutout innings two days later … His .272 opposing batting average ranked ninth in the conference … Recorded a 5.42 ERA and one save as a freshman … Ranked second on the team with 84.2 innings pitched and sixth in the conference … His six wins in conference play was the most among MW pitchers … Named Academic All-Mountain West … Lettered for the first time.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Lettered two years in baseball at El Toro High School in Lake Forest, Calif. … Was named South Coast League Player of the Year, SoCal Sidelines Pitcher of the Year, CIF Player of the Year and was a finalist for California State Player of the Year … Named first-team All-Orange Country, Collegiate baseball news first- team All-American, Rawlings first-team all-region, and Max Preps first-team All-American … Won the South Coast League Championship as well as the  CIF Southern Section Championship … Pitched 92 innings with 89 strikeouts, a 0.61 ERA, and 0.87 WHIP his senior year.

PERSONAL -- Earned a bachelor’s degree in management … Son of Wade and Melanie Jackson … Has a younger sister, Hailey ... Enjoys going to the beach and to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim games, and hanging out with friends … Father Wade Jackson played in the Angels minor leagues system and is a Nevada baseball alum … Chose Nevada because of the coaching staff, his father’s legacy and the environment … Career highlight was pitching at Dodger Stadium for the CIF Southern Section Championship, throwing a shutout and only allowing three hits … Sports heroes are Max Scherzer and Peyton Manning.
