WHAT'S NEXT: After seeing its match canceled at Wyoming last week, the Nevada volleyball team returns to action this week with a road trip to Utah State to face the Aggies on Thursday before returning home for a Silver State Series match again UNLV on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT: A short-handed Nevada squad fell to Boise State 3-0 in a pair of matches at Virginia Street Gym March 12-13.
ABBREVIATED SCHEDULE FORMAT: As a result of the pandemic, the Mountain West Conference has moved to a conference only 16-match schedule this spring. The format has teams playing the same opponent twice during the first six weeks, then playing the remaining four MW schools once each in the final three weeks ending April 3. The regular season champion will be the Mountain West's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES: Utah State is 3-8 on the year and is coming off a split against Air Force last weekend. The Aggies were picked 11
th in the league this year.
THE SERIES: Nevada is 25-22 all-time versus the Aggies, and the Pack has won the last two meetings, home and away in 2019.

SCOUTING THE REBELS: UNLV is 9-0 on the year and atop the MW standings. The Rebels play at Fresno State on Thursday. Outside hitter Mariena Hayden is the reigning MW Offensive Player of the Week and was a preseason All-MW pick. UNLV was picked second in the league.
THE SERIES: Nevada is 9-25 all-time against UNLV.

Sophomore
Andrea Alcaraz is fourth in the Mountain West in assists with 8.33 per set.
Freshman
Reka Monteleone is third in the league in aces with 0.42 per set and she's eighth in points with 3.52 per set.
Nevada ranks third in the Mountain West in blocks as a team and a big part of that is the production of Sydney Peterson,
Kassie McGill and
Brianna Souza as all three are in the top 10 in blocks this season. Peterson, a sophomore, ranks second in the conference in blocks at 1.33 per set and Souza, a senior, is ninth at 1.02 while McGill, also a senior, is 10
th at 1.02.
The Wolf Pack is averaging 2.60 blocks per set.

SUPERLATIVES:
Brianna Souza's .591 hitting percentage against Air Force on Feb. 19 ranks as the fifth-best single-match performance in Mountain West action this year.
Andrea Alcaraz registered 46 assists for Nevada against New Mexico on Feb. 5, the fifth-best performance in a four-set match this season in the MW.
