Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Nevada volleyball team knocked off San Diego State in San Diego for the first time in program history on Friday night, beating the Aztecs in four sets, 20-25, 25-14, 25-20 and 25-15, at Aztec Court at Peterson Gym.

As a team, Nevada hit .318 for the match and won for the second time in the last three matches. The Pack is now 5-11 all-time against the Aztecs with consecutive wins in the series, having downed SDSU in the last meeting in 2019 in Reno.

The win pushed Nevada's record to 2-5 on the season and snapped a three-match winning streak by San Diego State (3-4). The teams will run it back on Saturday at noon.

Freshman
Reka Monteleone hit .433 for the match (15/2/30) to lead the way for the Wolf Pack.
Sydney Petersen added 13 kills on 24 attacks while
Brianna Souza had 10 kills for the Wolf Pack.

Sophomore
Andrea Alcaraz, who prepped at nearby Poway (Calif. ) High, had 44 assists for the Pack.

The Pack dropped the first set, 25-20, but roared back for three straight set wins to claim the victory. Nevada was 0-8 all-time at SDSU entering the match.
