RENO, Nev. -Â Fresh off a season-opening win at Pacific two weeks ago, the Nevada women return to Northern California for two more duals, visiting Santa Clara Friday then San Francisco Saturday.
The Wolf Pack (1-0) got its season started on the right foot with a Feb. 6 victory in Stockton, as
Milka Genkova's 0-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) comeback win at No. 3 singles clinched the dual at the wire. The Pack showed solidly at doubles, grabbing the point with a sweep of all three matches, before
Cristina Moll Alles and
Carla Del Barrio grabbed singles victories to set up Genkova's dual-clinching performance.
Friday's dual will serve as the season-opener for Santa Clara, which went 4-5 last season before the campaign was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Broncos return nine players from a season ago, including All-WCC selections Maddie Pothoff and Madison Clarke.
The dual will be streamed online atÂ

San Francisco (2-1) picked up wins over Dominican University and Academy of Art following a season-opening loss to No. 19 California.
The weekend's duals will be Nevada's last action until visiting UC Davis March 11.
