RENO, Nev. – University of Nevada signee Je'Lani Clark has been named the San Francisco regional Player of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle. Clark the West Catholic Athletic League's co-Player of the Year was also named to the San Francisco Chronicle's All-Metro team.
A 6-3 guard, Clark averaged 15.8 points, five rebounds, three assists and 1.7 steals for Archbishop Riordan High School. He helped the Crusaders to a 23-5 record and share of the WCAL championship. It was the first title since 2007 for any Crusaders team. Riordan was the top seed in Northern California Division 1 but because of COVID-19 had to withdraw from the tournament after earning two wins.
A four-year starter he scored 36 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a win over Sacred Heart Cathedral that earned Riordan High School a share of the WCAL title.
