RENO, Nev. – First-year University of Nevada head men's basketball coach
Steve Alford and his staff signed five high school seniors to play for the Wolf Pack in 2020-21. Je'Lani Clark, Tre Coleman, DeAndre Henry, Alem Huseinovic, and Daniel Foster signed National Letters of Intent to play at Nevada in November. The five recently completed their final season prior coming to Nevada and had outstanding seasons.
A 6-3 guard, Clark was named the San Francisco regional Player of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle. Clark the West Catholic Athletic League's co-Player of the Year was also named to the San Francisco Chronicle's All-Metro team.
Clark averaged 15.8 points, five rebounds, three assists and 1.7 steals for Archbishop Riordan High School. He helped the Crusaders to a 23-5 record and share of the WCAL championship. It was the first title since 2007 for any Crusaders team. Riordan was the top seed in Northern California Division 1 but because of COVID-19 had to withdraw from the tournament after earning two wins.
A four-year starter he scored 36 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a win over Sacred Heart Cathedral that earned Riordan High School a share of the WCAL title.
Coleman was named an Indiana All-Star. One of 13 Indiana high school players named to the squad the Indiana All-Star team is schedule to play the Kentucky All-Star team June 5 and 6.

Craig Neal both earned Indiana All-Stars honors in 1983. Alford played at New Castle Chrysler High School and Neal at Washington High School.
Coleman led Jeffersonville High School scoring 15.4 points per game as did his 2.3 blocks per contest. The 6-6 forward was second on the squad grabbing 7.1 rebounds per game. From the field Coleman shot 65 percent and connected on 73 percent of his free throw attempts. He helped the Red Devils to an 18-6 record.
Henry and Huseinovic both played their senior season for a PHHoenix Prep Fire team that posted a 35-15 record competing the Grind Session. The Fire were one-of-20 teams that qualified for the Grind Session World Championships.
Henry was a first-team All-Grind Session honoree and was selected to play in the Grind Session All-Star Game. The 6-7 forward averaged a double-double his senior year scoring 17.4 points and grabbing 11.3 rebounds per game. He also blocked 1.4 shots per game. From the field he shot 57 percent and was good on 84 percent of his free throws.
Huseinovic from Bosnia & Herzegovina is a 6-3, 180-pound shooting guard that averaged 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists his senior season at PHHoenix Prep. From behind the arc he shot 43 percent and 91 percent at the free throw line for the Fire.
A 6-6 guard Foster played this past season for Golden State Preparatory School in Napa, Calif. Originally from Melbourne, Australia he represented Australia in the FIBA 3x3 U18 Asia Cup and earned all-tournament honors. Foster was a member of the Victoria State Championship team the Hume City Broncos and was nominated as the Youth Player of the Year. At the Australian Under 20 National Tournament he represented Victoria and was named to the all-state team. He averaged 4.9 assists and 3.6 steals per game in the tournament.
