RENO, Nev. – Nevada women's golf coach Kathleen Takaishi has signed Raesa Sheikh to a National Letter of Intent.
 
Sheikh hails from Caledon, Ontario in Canada and will graduate from Robert F. Hall SS in the spring. During her high school career she has been a three-sport athlete with golf, basketball and Muay Thai and was awarded an OFSSA Regional award for golf. This past summer she competed in the Ontario Junior Girls Championship where she totaled nine birdies and seven pars in the final round.
 
Sheikh has also recorded wins in a few well known events in Canada including the Ontario Girls Championship (U-15), the Can Am Games in 2019 and took third place at the Ontario Junior Girls Championship this summer. She is a member at Golf Ontario and has a stroke average of 72.18 for 18 holes.
 
Sheikh will join the Wolf Pack for the 2021-22 academic year.
