Brandon Talton has earned Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week honors after an impressive performance in Nevada's 26-21 victory over San Diego State on Saturday.
Talton's four made field goals tied his single-game career-high. Talton finished the game 4-for-5 and is still perfect on the year with field goals under 50 yards.
Prior to the fourth quarter against SDSU, Talton led the nation in consecutive field goals made dating back to last season. His streak was snapped at 18 after his first miss of the season, a 51-yard attempt.
The Vacaville, Calif., native leads the nation in field goals per game (2.4) and ranks 12th in field goal percentage. Talton's performance on Saturday moved him into 10th all-time career kick scoring at Nevada (143) and tied for seventh in career field goals made (33 of 38).
Talton and Nevada travel to Hawai'i this week to face the Rainbow Warriors on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. (PT).
