COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West released its 2020 preseason softball poll, as voted on by the league's coaches, with the Wolf Pack slated to finish seventh.
With a total of 53 points and two first place votes, the 2019 second place team, San José State, was chosen to win the conference. Following the Spartans are the Aztecs of San Diego State who received 50 points but had the most first place votes with three.
Colorado State (45), UNLV (45), Fresno State (44) and Boise State (41) all received one first place vote while Nevada (23), Utah State (15) and New Mexico (8) round out the field in this season's preseason poll.
The Pack's 2020 campaign begins on Feb. 6 when the team travels to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to compete in the College Challenge with the first contest against BYU at 12:30 pm PT.
