PULLMAN, Wash. - The Nevada swim team opened its season in the swim only relay meet against Washington State, San Diego State and Idaho on Friday evening. The Pack took the win with 182 points; San Diego State posted 144, Washington State with 78 and Idaho had 36.
The meet saw six newcomers make their Nevada career debut along with the Pack recording seven relay event wins out of the ten that were held.
Benedict Nagy and
Colette Berkenfield both started in the Nevada B relay of the 3x50 backstroke, finishing sixth with a time of 1:20.86.

Gianni Pitto and
Ileah Doctor all saw debuts in the 3x50 breaststroke. Kitchens, Pitto and Doctor made up the B relay squad that finished third with a time of 1:30.26.

Wiktoria Samula. Following that relay, the Pack came out on top in the 800 free relay, 500 free relay, 400 medley, 200 free, 400 yard medley and the 400 free.
The matchup between Nevada and Washington State is not over however, the two teams will meet tomorrow at 10 am for a dual meet with traditional events. The meet will be streamed again on the Pac-12 Network.
