Nevada soccer announces 2019 schedule

Pack set to play 11 home matches

RENO, Nev. – Nevada soccer head coach Erin Otagaki announced the Wolf Pack's 2019 schedule today, highlighted by 11 home matches. The Pack will have a stretch of six-straight games played at home from Sept. 7-29.

"We are excited about this season's fall schedule," said Otagaki. "We play quality teams this preseason that will challenge us and prepare us for our competitive conference matches."

The Pack's 11 home games this year are the most since the 2010 season.

Nevada's season begins Aug. 23, when the Pack will host Eastern Washington in Mackay Stadium at 6:30 p.m. That same weekend, Nevada will play its first road game at Pacific, which it defeated in an exhibition last season 3-0.

From Aug. 29 to Sept. 2, the Pack will compete in the Hawaii tournament where it will face the host Rainbow Wahine and Sacramento State.

Following its trip to the Aloha State, Nevada will play six straight games at home. That homestand will begin with a match against Weber State, which the Pack tied with last season in a 0-0 draw in Utah.

The back end of that homestand is the beginning of conference play for the Pack, opening its Mountain West season against Boise State on Sept. 27. Nevada's six-game stretch of home events ends that same weekend on Sept. 29 against Utah State.

The month of October will be all conference business for Nevada, as it begins the month on Oct. 4 at New Mexico before traveling to San Diego State that Sunday. Colorado College and Air Force will come to Reno the following weekend, with a big matchup with the Falcons looming after Nevada earned an epic 1-0 victory in Colorado Springs last season.

The Pack will take a trip to California Oct. 18-20 to play at Fresno State and San Jose State, followed by its final two home matches of the season against Colorado State and Wyoming. The Oct. 27 match against the Cowgirls will be the Pack's Senior Day celebration.

Nevada's final regular-season match of the season will be in Las Vegas as the Pack takes on intrastate rival UNLV.
