NEVADA SET TO CELEBRATE SENIORS IN FINAL HOME SERIES OF 2019 AGAINST FRESNO STATE

Nevada will host Mountain West-leading Fresno State this weekend for its final home series of the 2019 regular season with games being played Friday through Sunday ... John Ramey will call all of the action on 94.1 FM/1450 AM ... Saturday's contest will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network ... Live stats will be available via SIDEARM Stats ... Fifteen minutes prior to first pitch on Sunday, Nevada will honor its senior class with a pregame ceremony ... Tuesday's contest at Sacramento State will be called by John Ramey on 94.1 FM/1450 AM, with a live stream available on TheW.Tv ... Live stats will be powered by StatBroadcast ... Nevada has not played the Bulldogs yet this season, and will only face them for three games ... Fresno State is currently leading the Mountain West with a 12-7-1 record against conference foes ... The Bulldogs boast the best team ERA in the conference, holding a 3.87 team average but have pitched the least amount of innings at 360.2 ... Fresno State ranks third in the conference with a team batting average of .292 and is third with 35 homers ... McCarthy Tatum is second in the conference with nine homers on the year, trailing Nevada's Dillan Shrum who has 10 ... Last season, Nevada took five-of-six games from the Bulldogs including sweeping them at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park ... Nevada has already faced Sacramento State this year, and will go for the season sweep of the Hornets after defeating them 6-2 at home earlier this season on April 3 ... Thanks to two RBI from Keaton Smith and Conor Allard and Weston Hatten's solo shot, Nevada was able to claim the victory while only mustering seven hits ... Shane Gustafson earned the start and the win, his first in a Wolf Pack uniform, tossing five innings and only allowing five hits while striking out seven Hornets ... The Nevada bullpen was lights out to close out the contest, as Josh Congress, Cooper Powell and Bradley Bonnenfant combined for three innings while only allowing one hit ... Each recorded two strikeouts in that contest ... Currently sitting at fifth in the Mountain West standings and UNLV not facing a MW opponent this week, Nevada has a chance to jump into the top-four in the MW standings.
